The various Deeds offices can re-open at level 4. In respect of the Deeds offices at Pietermaritsburg, we are told that the staff will only start to work on Monday and Conveyancers will only be able to enter the building from Wednesday onwards. We still don’t know exactly what functions will or will not be performed at level 4 but we do know that they will only operate with 1/3 of its staff so all processes are expected to take much longer than before.
The rates clearance departments at the Ilembe municipality is operating and we have recently received rates figures for a current matter.
The rates clearance departments at the Kwadukuza & Ethekwini municipalities are still not functioning now.
